Ein Kebele (amharisch α‰€α‰ αˆŒ qΓ€bΓ€le) ist die kleinste Art eines Verwaltungsbezirkes in Γ„thiopien und besteht meist nur aus einer Dorfeinheit.

Die Verwaltung ist durch OrtsrΓ€te organisiert. Mehrere Kebeles bilden zusammen eine Woreda (Distrikt). Im Jahr 2007 gab es rund 17.000 Kebeles, 15.500 lΓ€ndlich und 1.500 stΓ€dtisch;cite-ref-1[1] Letztere bildeten rund 1.000 StΓ€dte.
